Meet Elliott Round, the Creative Technologist and M-XR co-founder, who will provide an Extended Virtuality Experience throughout the Artefax Movement showcase. We asked him few questions about his work and passion.
Where does your drive and inspiration come from?
“I have always been fascinated in how different environments can create different emotions/atmospheres the same way that music or paintings can. I think it is so exciting that I am around for the birth of a new medium. This is something I want to explore for the foreseeable future, understand how it can be used both creatively and technically.”
What are your artistic goals?
“I want to take VR from being an extension of Films or Games into its own medium with its own rules conventions and types of content. This can only be done through creating an easy creation process for artists and increasing the quality of the visuals.”
Can you explain the idea behind this piece?
“I've been exploring how ML can be used to understand music in a more human way, to identify colors moods and emotion rather than just beats and tempo.”
