Get to know Soulace headliner ADMNTi, ahead of his set at Orange Yard on the 8 Feb.

Hailing from South-East London, Adam Monti aka ADMNTi’s path into music is one that is deep rooted and has crossed many avenues along the way.
Adam’s ear for good music has allowed him to grow as a selector, DJ and producer, picking up gigs that have seen him play alongside some of the connoisseurs of the international scene while regularly producing new releases.
ADMNTI's ability to touch on a selection of moods and sounds, mix with precision and read the crowd in front of him makes him one of the most unique taste-makers from his country's capital.

3 favourite tracks:

1. This electro laced track is definitely one of my current favourites.
The whole release is great but this one takes the crown for me, with DJ Honesty’s Remix on the flip side coming in very close second.
NORTHSOUTH.png
2. Incoming from some of the extended family. This one is top drawer as always from Harry McCanna’s alter-ego, out on the mighty NorthSouth Records very soon!

3. From the second release on the Blanc Series on my imprint, this one never gets old for me.

Favourite studio equipment:

KORG ER-1
Super handy for backing drums and the delays component in this one is a go-to for me.

E-MU Orbit
I made a lot of my track ‘Puddy Muddle’ using this. Most of the pads from this machine where used in jungle and house tracks in the 90’s and there are some amazing synths and bass sound you can squeeze from it too.

London is…

my home and continues to be a huge source of inspiration for me. The mix of people, array of musical talent, food, graffiti and culture in general is something I’m grateful to have been exposed to through the years.I bought some of my first records round the corner from where Orange Yard now stands. Phonica and the Music & Video Exchange on Berwick Street (which is sadly no longer there) kicked off the start of my collection.
